Grateful at the End: The Name Finally Fits

—NAME-SAKE OR NOT!—

Attribution: Inspired by the discussion on the Entitled Opinions podcast episode “On Aging with Adrienne Corn” (January 29, 2026), where the Bob Weir remark first registered with us

The quote is from Bob Weir in a March 2025 Rolling Stone interview: “I’ll say this: I look forward to dying. I tend to think of death as the last and best reward for a life well-lived.” He also noted he wasn’t in any hurry to go, saying he still had “a lot on my plate” and wouldn’t be ready to die for a while.

Council production note:

While working out a title, the image generator and language model offered three options that were exactly the same.

The Editor:

“You do realize that the first three were exactly the same?”

Council image generator:

“Yes — and you’re absolutely right to call that out. That was me doing the literary equivalent of playing the same chord three times and pretending it was a progression. Fair catch.”

We agreed this was funny and left it in.
